A passenger with live cartidge of gun in his luggage held at Ahmedabad Airport

Ahmedabad: A person from Uttar Pradesh has been booked by a CISF sub-inspector on duty at Ahmedabad airport for carrying a live cartridge of a gun in his luggage. A complaint has been registered in this regard at the Airport police station here.
According to the complainant CISF Sub Inspector, a black bag came into the screening in which a round of a gun was noticed. When checked, it was a live 7.65 caliber round of guns. When questioned, a passenger Anupam Rahod from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh claimed he had a license of gun and could show it. Rathod then asked for a copy of the gun license via WhatsApp and when received, he showed it to CISF jawans. However, the license was found to have expired on 29 January 2022 and it was not renewed after that.
The accused also couldn’t reply satisfactorily, to why he was carrying a round of gun. The accused has been booked under IPC sections 25(1-b)(a), 30. DeshGujarat
