ICG evacuates seriously injured fisherman off Pipavav coast

Pipavav: Indian Coast Guard Ship C-409 evacuated and provided medical relief to a seriously injured fisherman onboard IFB Asht Vinayak on Wednesday, about 25 km from Pipavav. The Maritime Rescue Sub Centre (Pipavav) of the Indian Coast Guard received a message regarding a medical emergency onboard IFB from Mr. K Solanki, a Fishing Association Member in Jafrabad.
Coast Guard Ship C-409 was diverted from its operational deployment to provide necessary assistance. The injured person, Channabhai, 55 years old, was taken onboard C-409 and preliminarily diagnosed with a head injury over the left forehead. The casualty was treated with antiemetic, intravenous fluids, and sterile dressing of the wound. The casualty was transferred to Pipavav jetty and handed over to the boat owner, Mr. Narshibhai, and further shifted to the civil hospital in Hanumanta, Mahuva. DeshGujarat
