Kite festival over a month away but flying knives are back: One dies in Kheda

Kheda: Not just Chinese kite strings but even a common kite string can kill. While the kite flying season is over a month away, a person in Kheda died due to injury of the kite string.
A 26 year old youth Sagar Raval from Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad was going to his native place Dabhan with his wife and daughter on a bike. Near Sandhana in Matar belt of Kheda district, a kite string hit his throat and cut the breathing pipe. A victim died on the spot while his wife and a two-year old daughter suffered injuries.
Matar Police is investigating the case. In its initial investigation, the police and medical team found that the kite string that cut the deceased’s throat was not a Chinese kite string but a simple one. It had gone to 7 to 8 centimeters depth in throat. DeshGujarat
