Rajkot: One person was dead while other was injured after a Scorpio SUV hit a Honda Active two-wheeler on Rajkot – Jamnagar highway near Ghanteshwar Park. CCTV footage of this incident has gone viral.

Two young persons at around 11 pm were on a two-wheeler which was on wrong side and in fast lane. Probably as he was gone by surprise, a person on driving seat in Scorpio SUV which was in significantly high speed hit this two-wheeler. While one person on two-wheeler named Surajsinh died on the spot, the other person named Kamal Thapa was hospitalized.

Going by the CCTV footage, a two-wheeler rider was riding like a suicide mission, as he was riding the vehicle in wrong side, that too in fast lane and that too on the highway that had no street light poles.

Gandhigram police station has booked Scorpio SUV driver under IPC sections 279, 337, 338, 304A and MV act sections 133, 177, 184. Police was in search of Scorpio SUV driver who escaped the spot. DeshGujarat
