Indian Road Congress’s 82nd annual session to be held in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Indian Road Congress (IRC)’s 82nd annual session will take place in Gandhinagar in Gujarat from the 2nd to the 5th of December. In this session, various discussions and research paper presentations will take place regarding road infrastructure. The session shall be addressed by Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on 3rd December.  Such a session of IRC last was held in Gujarat in the year 2004.

The students and scientists from IIT, NIT, engineering colleges and research organizations, R&D officials, contractors, consultants, NGOs, etc will attend various informative technical sessions. Exchange of ideas will take place between them on roads, tunnels, bridges, sea-link, mountain roads, and other infrastructure projects. More than 4,000 engineers will attend the IRC convention.

Chief Secretaries, R&B Secretaries, and Chief Engineers of various State governments will discuss the challenges of road infrastructure and decide a road map for its success. A technical exhibition will be opened at Mahatma Mandir in a 10,500 square meter area. It shall be joined by over 120 companies.DeshGujarat
