Surat: A crane at the metro rail construction site near Udhna Darwaza area in Surat fell on a passing rickshaw, damaging it. Fortunately, the rickshaw driver Raju Sahu, did not sustain any injuries. A major accident was avoided as an incoming city bus stopped at a safe distance. The crane operator fled the scene, leaving the crane behind and causing a temporary traffic jam.

The incident occurred on Thursday, during the ongoing metro work at Udhna Darwaza when a giant crane collided with an iron structure, subsequently falling on the autorickshaw passing below, twisting its body. Despite the dramatic scene captured on CCTV, there were no casualties, and the rickshaw puller emerged unharmed. The quick evacuation of the crane operator and working staff further averted potential harm.  DeshGujarat
