ACB Gujarat nabs head constable and home guard in bribery case

Viramgam: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed a head constable and a home guard posted at Viramgam town police station in a bribe case involving a sum of ₹2,00,000.

According to the details of the case, an application was filed against the complainant at the town police station regarding a land case. The complainant was summoned to provide a statement, and the accused head constable, Babulal Shankar Bhai Parmar, allegedly demanded ₹2,00,00 from the complainant to avoid filing charges against him.

As the complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB, leading to the bribe trap being set up. During the operation, in the presence of a witness, the accused, Babulal Parmar, after conversing with the complainant, instructed the accused home guard, Rizwan Mohammed Rafiq Memon, to accept the bribe money. Both accused individuals were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe money and have been detained. DeshGujarat
