Gujarat govt, centre, ICICI, and Micron sign Trust & Retention agreement

Gandhinagar: A TRA (Trust and Retention Agreement) was signed here in the state capital in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel to expedite the activities of the Sanand Semiconductor Plant of Micron, a major company in the semiconductor sector.
Under this agreement, the Department of Science and Technology of the Gujarat Government, the India Semiconductor Mission of the Government of India, and ICICI Bank will assist Micron with the necessary support and financial assistance to operate the plant and ensure the timely completion of departmental processes with both the Central and State Governments.
The Chief Minister stated that under Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi, Micron acquired land for its plant in Sanand in just one week. The groundbreaking ceremony and construction of the plant were done within 90 days. He attributed this development commitment to the Double Engine Government.
The CM also praised the investment of Rs. 22 thousand crore in the construction of Micron Facility in a 93-acre area in Sanand, which is expected to generate twenty thousand direct and indirect employments.
Union Railways and IT Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav said that this project in Gujarat is becoming the centre of discussion all over the world and is being showcased as an example of the fast implementation of the double-engine government. The Union Minister also expects more investment proposals in the semiconductor sector following this Micron project.
Mr. Gurusharan Singh, Senior Vice President of Micron, expressed his gratitude to the government departments and officials, expressing the feeling that the proactive approach of the central and state governments will speed up the implementation of projects in Gujarat.
On the occasion of signing the agreement, Chief Secretary Mr. Rajkumar, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department Mr. J. P.
