AMC shares design and details of under-construction Airport – Indira bridge iconic road revamp project

Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today shared more details regarding the upcoming iconic road development project for a stretch connecting the airport to Indira Bridge Circle.

The road shall be 1.7 km long and 60 metres wide, with a main carriage width of 9.9 metres on both sides. The median width shall be 1.5 metres, and the making area shall be 4.7 metres on both sides. The service road shall be 7.5 metres on both sides, with a 3.5-metre footpath on each side.

The works for the project of developing Airport Road as an iconic road (city entry road) is ongoing. It’s a VIP road connecting the airport to the state capital, Gandhinagar.

The project also involves elements like the main road, service road, footpath, parking, mediun, place-making area’s side grill, landscape soil, street light, and other elements.

Rajhans Infacron India Pvt Ltd will develop decorative light, sculpture, live topiary development (landscaping), water fountain, water body/fall, tree lighting in the evening, recreation activity, kiosk, horticulture plantation, traffic island landscaping, standard bus stand, advance dustbin, drip irrigation facility for land scapping, bolard, cattle trap, hanging basket with LED pole, gentry, selfie point, housekeeping development area, security, staff, etc. Rajhans will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of this for the next 15 years.

Against the expenditure on this project, Rajhans will give 25% publicity rights to AMC while keeping 75% rights to its own advertisement.

Advertisements will be displayed at gentry structure, billboards, verticle post hoarding, kiosks at each street light, bus stands, and junctions and circles. DeshGujarat
