Gujarat govt and Surat’s Edhas Group ink MoUs proposing investment of Rs. 1018 Crore

Gandhinagar: In the run-up to the upcoming Vibrant Summit 2024, Surat’s Edhas Group has signed an MoU for investment worth Rs. 1018 crores with the Gujarat government. The MoU includes projects in sectors such as Fuel (Ethanol), Organic and Natural Agriculture, Pre-biotic Cosmetic Products, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing, FRP Rods Manufacturing, and IT Consulting. These agreements, totaling Rs. 1018 crores, were signed in the state capital in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel on Thursday.

Edhas Group is establishing a 280 KLPD bio-fuel manufacturing plant at Desar in Vadodara district. Hareshbhai Parwadia, the founder and director of this company, mentioned that the ethanol produced will be used as fuel in vehicles, providing direct and indirect employment opportunities to at least 1000 people in this area.

The company has also launched a brand, ‘Cowberry,’ as announced by Edhas Group CEO Mr. Kaushik Sonani. Through this project, he stated that 100% pure, toxin-free, and pesticide-free, organic certified products will be made available to people across the country through online and offline stores.

With the country’s largest agri-tourism project, Cowberry aims to materialize the dream of building the country’s Cowberry World Agri University with an organic-certified plant spanning 200 bighas in Vadodara district.

The company’s director, Mr. Krunal Parvadia, explained that the Cowberry FPO management software will simplify engagement with farmers across the country, guiding them in organic farming. The e-commerce platform of this brand will deliver a variety of products, including spices, grains, pulses, bakery items, and nankeen, to customers nationwide, ensuring organic certification and offering door-to-door delivery even internationally.
