Ahmedabad: Dozens of passengers stuck at the Ahmedabad airport went on social media platforms to express their frustration over delayed and cancelled flights on Sunday. The passengers were complaining first about delayed flights, then they complained about cancelled flights. Some passengers also pointed out that delayed flights turned into cancelled flights and the cancelled flights turned into delayed flights during the course of the day. The problem regarding delayed and cancelled flight at SVPI airport in Ahmedabad was attributed to fog at Delhi airport due to which number of flights could not take off from Delhi airport and therefore they couldn’t arrive at Ahmedabad airport to take further or return journey. The passengers complained about poor or no communication from the airlines and no water or food offered from the airlines even after hours long delay and eventual cancellation of flights. The airline company staffers at Ahmedabad airport continued to convey to the passengers that the situation was due to fog at Delhi airport and linked low visibility. Some passengers also complained about the lack of sitting space for the passengers after a number of flights got delayed.

@airindia Flight number AI 836 from Ahmedabad to Delhi has been cancelled after being delayed 3 times for a total of 6 hours. Air India ground staff is not helping and telling us to contact call centre but no one is picking up the call.We have been abandoned with no compensation.

Indigo is the worst airline ever. Flight 6E-2338 (Delhi to Ahmedabad) was scheduled to depart at 1:15pm, kept delaying and now at 8:15pm they have even stopped updating the passengers, no refreshments have been provided, the staff has been unhelpful. (1/2)@IndiGo6E @JM_Scindia
