Ahmedabad: In a major development in the work of the Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project, a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) has been issued for the electrical work under packages EW-1 to a consortium comprising Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) and Sojitz Corp.

The Ministry of Railways, on Monday announced the information, stating, “MAHSR gears up for lightning-fast progress in the #BulletTrain Project! LOA issued for electrical works under EW-1 package, paving the way for swift speeds of up to 320 km/h.”

According to the official statement, a letter of acceptance has been issued to M/s Sojitz and L&T Consortium for undertaking electrical works under the EW-1 package.

The functions of EW-1 include the design, manufacture, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2 x 25 kV electrification systems, suitable for speeds up to 320 km/h, incorporating the Japanese Shinkansen system-based traction power supply. DeshGujarat
