Ayodhya: A Vadodara-made 1,100 kg Shri Ram Deep (Lamp) has reached the temple town of Ayodhya ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. The lamp, along with the devotees, was welcomed at Karsevakpuram.
The lamp has a unique design, allowing 501 kg of ghee to be put in it at one time, with a wick made of 15 kg cotton.
Shailesh Shukla, the area coordinator of VHP’s Dharma Yatra Mahasangh from Gujarat, mentioned that Arvind Bhai Patel (a resident of Vadodara) made this special lamp, and once lit, it can burn for many hours. Made of steel with an inner lining of brass, the lamp is expected to burn continuously for 45 days after being lit. Additionally, 108 liters of groundnut oil have also arrived for use in the kitchen of Karsevakapuram. DeshGujarat
