Lioness dies during treatment after being hit by goods train in Amreli

Amreli: A lioness who was undergoing treatment at Junagadh’s Sakkarbaugh Zoo after being hit by a goods train in Savarkundla succumbed to her wounds on Wednesday.
The lioness was injured around 15 days ago near Vijapadi railway station in the Bhammar area. The train was going from Mahuva to Surendranagar, according to the Forest department. The lioness, aged around 7-8 years, had minor injuries and was later rescued and taken to an animal center for treatment, where it succumbed to its wounds. DeshGujarat
