Tata Motors set to start EV production at Sanand Plant from April

Sanand: Tata Motors is planning to initiate the production of electric vehicles at the Sanand plant, acquired from Ford India, starting in April. The company aims to commence EV production with the NEXON EV from April, as informed by Shailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, a unit of Tata Motors, to the media.
It is learned that the company has already begun producing internal combustion engine-powered versions of Nexon at this facility. Tata had acquired this plant from Ford India for Rs 725.7 crore in January of last year.
In another development, the company plans to introduce Curvv EV and Harrier EV later this year. DeshGujarat
