Filmfare Awards in Gift City on Jan 28; Curtain-raiser today

Gandhinagar: The 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024, in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, are being held in the state of Gujarat for the first time. A curtain-raiser event will take place at Mahatma Mandir in the state capital today, featuring technical awards, a fashion show, and a music concert. The main event is scheduled for tomorrow in GIFT City.
Preparations for the award show are in full swing, including rehearsals for actors on stage in Gandhinagar. On the evening of January 27, a fashion show and music concert will unfold at Mahatma Mandir, with the participation of stars like Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Manish Paul, and Janhvi Kapoor.
The 69th edition of the Filmfare Awards is set to take place on January 28 at Gift City Gandhinagar. The event will showcase performances by Bollywood stars and honor actors who have made significant contributions to Indian cinema. The Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel may also attend the ceremony briefly.
Several Bollywood stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Kartik Aaryan, are slated to perform at the event. The ceremony will be hosted by the trio of Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Manish Paul.
Various stars have started arriving in Gandhinagar for this event, contributing to the initiative’s goal of boosting Film tourism and investment in Gujarat.
The District collector has issued an order for road closures from noon to midnight owing to the awards show and the heavy presence of Bollywood celebs. The announcement by the Gandhinagar Collector states that the road from Gandhinagar’s PDEU to the Iconic Bridge and Gift City will be closed to the public, along with the closure of the road from Shahpur Bridge to Gift City.
