Gujarat Assembly session begins today; FM to present state budget on Feb 2

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat assembly’s budget session begins today, and the presentation of the state budget for FY 2024-25 is set for Friday.
Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai is scheduled to present the budget on February 2nd. The upcoming budget is expected to reflect the state government’s vision for the upcoming year and outline a strategic roadmap for the next 25 years, as stated by the government spokesperson, Minister Rushikesh Patel.
The budget session will commence with Governor Acharya Devvrat presenting the state government’s achievements from the previous year in his address to the House on the first day.
The Minister also mentioned that in consideration of the consecration ceremony of the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya, a resolution praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be introduced in the assembly on February 5.
Additionally, following representations made by MLAs, no sessions will be held on Saturdays. The budget session is expected to conclude on February 29. DeshGujarat
