Former Congress MLA of Khambhat Chirag Patel joins BJP

Borsad/Khambhat: Former Congress MLA of Khambhat, Chirag Patel today joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a public meeting held here today in the presence of Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil. Chirag Patel had left the Congress party and resigned from the State Assembly last month. In another function in the same district at Borsad, over 3100 Congress workers joined the BJP as per the district BJP chief Rajeshbhai Patel. Chirag Patel will probably contest Khambhat seat as BJP candidate in upcoming by-election on Khabhat seat, polling for which shall take place alongside the Lok Sabha election. DeshGujarat
