Son Anant’s speech leaves Mukesh Ambani in teary eyes

Jamnagar: The pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant commenced on Friday in the city. To welcome everyone, Reliance chairperson Mukesh Ambani delivered an emotional speech, expressing gratitude and invoking the Indian tradition of treating guests as divine beings. Later, the groom-to-be Anant also shared his thoughts with the guests at the wedding, and his speech moved Mukesh Ambani to tears.

In a heartfelt speech during the festivities, Anant Ambani expressed gratitude toward his mother, Nita Ambani, and said, “Thank you, Mumma, for all that you’ve done. All this is created by my Mumma and no one else. My mother has gone all out. For the last four months, she has worked, I think, 18-19 hours a day. I am extremely grateful to Mumma, and thank you so much.”

“My life has not entirely been a bed of roses. I have experienced the pain of thorns. I have faced many health issues since childhood, but my father and mother have never let me feel that I have suffered. My father and mother have always stood by me, and they have made me feel that if I think about doing something, I’ll do it,” said Anant as Mukesh Ambani, visibly moved, enthusiastically applauded.

Saying that he also does not know how he got Radhika, Anant added, “I definitely am the luckiest here. Radhika has been in my life for the last 7 years; it feels like I met her yesterday. But every day I fall more and more in love. Like my brother-in-law used to say that when he used to see my sister, he used to see volcanoes and fountains going up in his heart. I would say that I have earthquakes and tsunamis going on in my heart when I see Radhika. So, thank you, Radhika,” he added.

While addressing the gathering Mukesh Ambani said, “Our esteemed friends and family. Namaste and good evening to each and every one of you. In the Indian tradition, we respectfully describe guests as Atithis. ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, which means ‘Guests are like Gods’. When I did Namaste to you, it meant that the Divine in me is pleased to acknowledge the Divine in you.”

“You all have turned this wedding fervor into an auspicious occasion. Thank you so much from my heart,” he added.

As Anant and Radhika embark on their lifelong journey together, Ambani conveyed his belief that the blessings of the guests would yield a perpetual harvest of good fortune. He invoked the spirit of his father, Dhirubhai, showering blessings from the heavens.

Talking about the city, Ambani said, “Jamnagar became the Karmabhoomi for my father and me, a place where we found our mission, passion, and purpose. Jamnagar was a totally barren land; it was a desert 30 years ago. What you see now is the realization of Dhirubhai’s dream. Jamnagar became the turning point in the history of Reliance. It continues to be the place where we launch futuristic business and unique philanthropic initiatives.”

Ambani shared his thoughts about the couple, and stated, “Anant in Sanskrit means ‘That which has no end’. It means Infinite. I see infinite potential in Anant. Whenever I see Anant, I see my father Dhirubhai in him. His same can do, will do, nothing is impossible attitude. And in Radhika, he has found an ideal life partner. She is a reservoir of immense creative energy. She is a quiet fountain of love and care. Quite aptly, Radhika has the name of Lord Krishna’s favourite consort. Radhika and Anant. Anant and Radhika. Yeh to ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ hai!” DeshGujarat
