Hit & Run at Sindhu Bhavan Road; Motorbike hit by Thar Jeep, a teenager dies

Ahmedabad: In yet another case of rash driving on Sindhu Bhavan Road, an accident occurred on Friday night when a Thar Jeep hit a motorbiker. The victim, a teenager Jaydeep Solanki, sustained serious injuries and died during treatment. Victim Jaydeep was an under-age rider and he was just 17. He was legally not allowed to drive a motorcycle. The accused who was driving Thar escaped the place. A youth named Prem Mali is suspected to be in the driving seat of Thar.
Reports indicate that Jaydeep was dragged 200 meters on road upon colliding with the Thar car. After which he sustained severe injuries, leading to his untimely death. The driver of the Thar car abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled.
Jaydeep, out for a late-night snack with friends, became the victim of a Thar driver’s recklessness. In the aftermath, bystanders gathered to assist the seriously injured youth, but despite their efforts, Jaideep Solanki could not be saved.

According to an eyewitness, victim Jaydeep was coming after taking a ‘U’ turn when a Thar jeep hit his bike. The average speed of Thar was around 120 km/h and it was rash driving. Three to four persons were in Thar jeep. Those in Thar immediately escaped the place, and left the vehicle on the spot of the incident. Jaydeep was alone on a bike and there was no pillion rider.
The traffic police have launched a thorough investigation and are actively pursuing the apprehension of the accused Thar driver. DeshGujarat
