36-year-old dead after firing his own revolver in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A man in his thirties lost his life after accidentally firing a revolver jokingly placed at the side of his forehead in the Vejalpur area of the city. At the time of the incident, the young man’s female friend and driver were also present. The police have currently initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
A firing incident occurred in Rupesh Society in the Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad late last night. Preliminary police investigation has revealed that a 36-year-old youth named Digvijay Singh, alias Bholo Rajput, accidentally fired his own licensed revolver. The bullet from the revolver hit Digvijay Singh on the head, resulting in his death. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police team promptly reached Rupesh Park Society and conducted further investigations.
The deceased, Digvijay Singh, worked as a land broker. In his newly built bungalow in Rupesh Park Society, Digvijay Singh was sitting with his driver, Satyadeep Vaidya, and a lady friend. Playfully, he loaded his revolver with bullets and placed it on his lap. Three cartridges were loaded in the licensed revolver, and three cartridges were empty. The trigger of the revolver was pressed twice, but nothing happened as there was no cartridge in either of them. However, when the trigger was pressed for the third time, the loaded cartridge was released from the revolver, firing a shot that resulted in Digvijay Singh’s immediate demise.
Following the incident, the Vejalpur Police and FSL team also reached the spot. The police recorded the statement of the deceased Digvijay Singh’s driver, mentioning that Digvijay Singh had a habit of drinking alcohol. The police are investigating the possibility of Digvijay Singh being in an intoxicated state when the incident occurred last night. Additionally, the police will also investigate whether the driver Satyadeep Vaidya or the woman’s friend is involved in the incident. DeshGujarat
