Rajkot: Addressing a gathering of the Vishwakarma Samaj, Rajkot BJP candidate and Union Cabinet Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Parshottam Rupala highlighted the significance of the Vishwakarma Yojana, a government scheme named after their Lord, during his speech on Thursday.
Rupala emphasised, “Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated a central government scheme for our community, the Vishwakarma Yojana. While the specifics of the scheme’s benefits can be talked about, it is important to note that our community has been recognised by the Indian government for the first time. Throughout my political career, serving as a Minister in state and central governments, as well as holding positions such as state chief and All India Vice President of BJP, I have witnessed many developments. However, prior to this scheme, I had never seen a government scheme named after our Lord. This is a significant milestone for the Vishwakarma Samaj.”
He continued, “Previously, government schemes were often named after certain families, such as the Indira Awas Yojana. Prime Minister Modi has changed that trend also. The Vishwakarma community should wholeheartedly support PM Modi for launching this initiative. It is imperative to spread awareness about the use of our god’s name in the scheme across the state and the country.”
Rupala concluded, “What could be a greater source of pride for us? This is a significant moment for Vishwakarma community.” – DeshGujarat
