Panjrapol in Gujarat where cows were served Mango Juice

Vadodara: The Shravan Seva Foundation, which has been providing meals to poor and helpless elderly people in the city for the last three years, has shown another act of compassion. Amidst the rising heat, the founder of the organisation, Nirav Thakkar, served mango juice to the cattle living in Panjrapol in Karjan.

Nirav Thakkar, the founder of Shravan Seva Foundation, stated, ‘Our organization has provided quality mango juice to cows kept in Panjarapol at Karjan. Our team has been preparing for this for the last 15 days, and we recently achieved success. Although the use of frozen juice is more common nowadays, our organisation’s objective was to provide freshly squeezed mango juice. Just as we prepare and serve hot meals daily for the helpless elderly, we planned to extract fresh mango juice for the animals and deliver it to them.’

Thakkar further explained, ‘We transported 500 kg of juice filled in food-grade containers from Vadodara to Karjan. Barrels filled with ice were carried to keep the juice cool in the summer heat. After an hour’s journey, we reached Panjarapol. A huge watering trough was prepared to accommodate a large number of cattle and was filled with juice. As soon as the cows were released, they eagerly ran to the dining table to enjoy the treat.’

He continued, ‘After serving the helpless elderly and needy women and children, the Shravan Seva Foundation is now extending its services to dumb animals. It is indeed gratifying to be able to contribute to such noble service.’ DeshGujarat
