This marks the first instance where eight candidates from Sardardham have cleared the UPSC, stated Gagjibhai Sutariya, president of Sardardham Vishwa Patidar Samaj. He added that a total of 54 candidates cleared the prelims, and 13 cleared the mains this year.
It is learned that since 2021, a total of 3,500 candidates have been selected for various public services. The organization provides training and study facilities free of charge, with only lodging and food expenses incurred by the candidates. The Ahmedabad facility boasts an e-library with a capacity of 1,000 students, four hi-tech classrooms accommodating 100 students each, discussion rooms, and interview rooms simulating the environment of UPSC and GPSC exams.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended his congratulations to all the 25 aspirants from the state who passed the UPSC exam and conveyed his best wishes for their promising future.
All the successful candidates had received coaching from the UPSC Study Center at Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) in Ahmedabad. Mohammad Shahid, Director General of SPIPA, remarked, “With 25 candidates, this year witnessed the highest number of selections ever in SPIPA’s history. Three of them are likely to secure positions in the IAS (Indian Administrative Service), two in the IPS (Indian Police Service), and possibly more in other prestigious services.”
