Gandhinagar: The dates for summer vacation in schools operated by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board have been revised. The vacation, originally scheduled to commence from May 6th, will now begin on May 9th due to the ongoing General Elections of the Lok Sabha in the state.

Initially, schools affiliated with the Gujarat board had announced their vacation period from May 6 to June 9. However, considering the election schedule, teachers will be relieved from their election duties after May 7. As a result, the start of the summer vacation has been postponed to May 9, concluding on June 12. Normal school activities will resume on June 13, marking the beginning of the new academic session. Notably, the vacation dates of Gujarat University and Gujarat Technological University have also been altered due to the elections.
