Lion attacks staffer at Sakkarbaug Zoo in Junagadh

Junagadh: A Gir Lion at Sakkarbag Zoo attacked a contractual staffer, causing injuries. The staffer, who is a contract-based employee of the zoo, is hospitalized due to injuries to the shoulder, hand, leg, and head. At 9 am on Friday, a staffer, Dhirubhai Parshottam Tudiya (35), a resident of Bamangam, entered the lion’s cage for routine cleaning. Due to a mistake, the inner cage’s door remained open, allowing the lion to step out and attack Dhirubhai. Fortunately, other staffers rushed to the scene, and the lion returned inside the inner cage. Dhirubhai’s medical condition is now out of danger. DeshGujarat
