Collapse of overhead cable at Vadodara Yard affects number of trains

Vadodara: Operations of various trains were affected for about five hours due to collapse of overhead cable in Vadodara Yard on Wednesday evening. The Delhi – Ahmedabad rail traffic restored at 12 in midnight.

The restoration of collapsed cable took five hours long time, affecting the railway traffic on Vadodara – Mumbai , Vadodara – Delhi and Vadodara – Ahmedabad routes. Karnavati, Suryanagari, Double Decker, Navjivan, Lok Shakti, Saurashtra Janta, Vande Bharat, Ektanagar-Dadar(Baroda Express) etc. trains were affected and runnnig late by about an hour.

Karnavati Express was diverted to Godhra line and sent to Ahmdabad. Ahmedabad – Vadodara MEMU train was stopped at Bajva station and then operated towards Ahmedabad later. DeshGujarat
