Bolero swept away after heavy rain in Amreli; Driver’s body recovered

Amreli: In the Amreli district, areas including Lathi, Khambha, Bagsara, Savarkundla, and Liliya Ruler received rain Sunday evening. While heavy rain poured down in some places, others experienced scattered showers. Late in the night, rural areas of Babra Panthak witnessed over two and a half inches of rainfall, leading to a waterlogging situation. Amidst this, a Bolero car, engaged in windmill work, got submerged while passing through a water channel near Traboda village.

Local residents promptly informed the administration and the fire department. The Bolero was retrieved late at night, revealing the body of the driver, which was then transferred to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary information indicates that there were 3 people in the Bolero car. The dead body found was identified as the driver, Amarram Jat, a 24-year-old youth from Rajasthan.

The Bolero driver was unable to escape due to the heavy water flow, leading to the vehicle’s submersion and subsequent overturning. The local police and fire team conducted search operations late into the night. DeshGujarat
