Emergency landing of Tejas plane at Surat Airport
June 12, 2024
Surat: The Surat airport witnessed an emergency landing of the Indian Air Force (IAF)’s Tejas plane on Tuesday. It is learned that the panel in the aircraft indicated a fuel shortage, following which the pilot decided to make an emergency landing and informed the air traffic controller.
After safe emergency landing, upon inspection, the fuel level was found to be fine. It was concluded that the defect in the sensor caused a false reporting of the low fuel level.
The plane was kept at Surat airport for further checks. A team from Delhi would conduct a fact-finding and thorough study of the issue and prepare a report. Tejas aircraft would be allowed to fly again only after the report is handed over to the appropriate authority. DeshGujarat
