Gandhinagar: The new academic year of 2024-2025 has started today across Gujarat in over 54,000 schools after a 35-day-long summer vacation. Over 1.15 crore students are rejoining the campuses today. The state government is going to hold Shala Pravesh Utsav across all schools on 27-28-29 June. The summer vacation this year was observed from May 9 to June 12.

Earlier, the board had scheduled summer vacation from May 6 to June 9. However, given the Lok Sabha elections and teachers being assigned election duties, the vacation dates were adjusted to May 9 to June 12. DeshGujarat
