Charas worth Rs. 5 crore seized near Jakhau coast in Gujarat

Bhuj: The Jakhau Marine Police seized charas worth over Rs 5 crore during a patrol near Khidrat Island on Thursday. Acting on instructions from Police Inspector BP Kharadi, officers found more than 10 packets of narcotics abandoned in the coastal area.
During a foot patrol in the coastal area, Jakhau Marine Police found a plastic bag near Khidrat Island. The bag contained 10 packets, each weighing one kilogram, wrapped in white cloth bags with sea mud on them. The police suspect the substance to be charas.
The police took help from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to examine the narcotics. A search operation was also conducted in the area to ensure no additional drugs were present. DeshGujarat
