Gujarat govt announces recruitment of 7,500 TAT-passed candidates as teachers in schools

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government announced today that 7,500 teachers will be permanently recruited in the state’s secondary and higher secondary government and grant-in-aid schools within the next three months. This decision was taken during a cabinet meeting held in the state capital.

According to state government spokesperson Rushikesh Patel, “permanent recruitment in grant-in-aid schools will be based on the merit of TAT-Secondary and TAT-Higher Secondary passed candidates as per the test.” “The recruitment process for TET-1 and TET-2 candidates will commence soon,” he added

A total of 3,500 TAT-1 passed candidates will be recruited in secondary schools (Class 9 and 10), with 500 in government schools and 3,000 in grant-in-aid schools. Additionally, 4,000 TAT-2 candidates will be recruited in higher secondary schools (Class 11 and 12), including 750 in government schools and 3,250 in grant-in-aid schools.

Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the recent recruitment of approximately 1,500 HMAT Principals in Grant-in-Aid Schools across the state.

It should be noted that a total of 18,382 teachers have been permanently recruited in the state over the last 10 years. DeshGujarat
