Gujarat govt’s Shala Praveshotsav 2024 from June 26

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government’s annual statewide school enrolment drive (Shala Pravesh Utsav) this year will begin from June 26. A three day pravesh utsav will for the first time mark the admissions in kindergarten, class – 1, class 9 and class 11, involving 32.31 lakh children.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a meeting on June 24th, on Shala Praveshotsav emphasizing that over 32 lakh children will be enrolled in schools during the festival. Scheduled from June 26-28 statewide, the Mahotsav aims to ensure comprehensive access to education.
The CM in a X post said, “‘Celebration of Joyful Education’ – Statewide School Entrance Festival is commencing on June 26 under this theme. More than 32 lakh children will be admitted to school during this three-day admission festival.
Today, a briefing meeting was held at Gandhinagar with ‘Team Education’ regarding this. I called upon everyone to persevere with micro-planning so that no child in the state is deprived of education and all receive high-quality education.
This year, for the first time, in addition to Balwatika and Class-1, the School Entrance Festival will also include Class-9 and Class-11. The state government has launched beautiful schemes like ‘Namo Lakshmi Yojana’ and ‘Namo Saraswati Yojana'”
CM also emphasized ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach every student, even down to the village level.”
The Chief Minister, minsiters, officials and office bearers will visit the schools and participate in this 21st edition of Shala Pravesh Utsav.
