Red alert in parts of Gujarat; IMD’s very heavy rain warning till June 28

Valsad: The Indian Meteorological Department, in its latest weather forecast bulletin, has issued an alert for some coastal districts of Gujarat today, where heavy to very heavy rains (115.6-204.4 mm) are expected. The bulletin predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall across several districts of Gujarat over the next five days, from June 24th to June 28th, while the rest of Gujarat is likely to experience light to moderate rain.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, due to the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rains, a Red Alert has been issued for the districts of Valsad, Jamnagar, Dwarka, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
An Orange Alert has been issued for Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Diu, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, and Dang. Meanwhile, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Narmada, Rajkot, Porbandar, and Botad are under a Yellow Warning for heavy rain until the morning of June 25th.
On June 25th, Banaskantha is under an Orange Alert for heavy to very heavy rain, while Sabarkantha, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dang, Tapi, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, Junagadh, Amreli, and Gir Somnath are under a Yellow Warning.
On June 26th, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Panchmahal, Vadodara, and Chhota Udepur are under a Yellow Alert for likely heavy rains.
On June 27th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
