Rajkot observes bandh to mark one month since TRP Game Zone fire

Rajkot: The main market, commercial establishments, and several educational institutions were closed for half a day as a bandh was observed on Tuesday to mark one month since the fire tragedy at a TRP game zone that claimed 27 lives. The bandh was observed to pay homage to the victims who lost their lives in the blaze.

Businesses in Para Bazar, including the wholesale grain market, dry fruit and plastic traders, the cloth market on Dharmendra Road, the bullion market, imitation jewelry market, Yagnik Road, Lakhaji Raj Road, Palace Road, the electrical market, Danapith, Gundavadi, Canal Road, and others voluntarily closed their shops.

Educational institutions, gold and jewelry markets, and other commercial establishments also shut down in support of the bandh. Various commercial associations joined the bandh called by Congress and closed their businesses for the day.
