Surat Airport records highest passenger traffic in May

Surat: The Surat International Airport witnessed its peak passenger traffic in May 2024, with a total of 1.47 lakh passengers traveling through its terminals. This included 1.34 lakh domestic passengers and 13,907 international passengers.
In January, the airport handled 1.35 lakh passengers; 1.24 lakh in February; 1.25 lakh in March; 1.20 lakh in April; and the number peaked at 1.47 lakh passengers in May. The airport managed 1,348 domestic and 102 international flights in May, totaling 1,450 flights. Domestic cargo volume reached 529 tons, while 39 tons of international cargo were transported.
1.25 lakh domestic passengers and 10,814 international passengers traveled in January. There were 1,515 domestic flights, 72 international flights, and 409 units of domestic cargo transported. In February, the airport served 1.12 lakh domestic and 12,239 international passengers, operated 1,247 domestic and 78 international flights, and handled 566 units of domestic cargo.
In March, domestic passengers totaled 1.14 lakh, with 11,555 international passengers. The month saw 1,435 domestic and 102 international flights, with 791 units of domestic cargo transported. In April, the domestic passenger count was 1.10 lakh and the international passenger count was 10,467. There were 1,355 domestic and 90 international flights, and 1076 units of domestic cargo were handled.
May witnessed 1.34 lakh domestic passengers and 13,907 international passengers. The airport operated 1,348 domestic and 102 international flights and transported 529 units of domestic cargo and 39 units of international cargo.
