Red Cross to offer medical services at 50% off market rates in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The Indian Red Cross Society will start offering pathology tests, physiotherapy, and dental clinics at 50% of market rates in 33 districts of Gujarat. This initiative aims to provide affordable healthcare services in Gujarat. So far, physiotherapy centers have started in 14 districts, 9 dental clinics have been opened, and 11 pathology laboratories are operational.
A committee of expert doctors from Apollo Hospital, Civil Hospital, VS Hospital, and Zydus Hospital has been formed to ensure affordable and high-quality treatment. The plan includes starting physiotherapy, pathology laboratory, dental clinics, and blood banks in all 33 districts.
Moreover, 35,000 students have received CPR training out of the target of 3 lakh. The overall goal is to train 10 lakh students by March 2025. Additionally, over 50,000 people have received first aid training in the last couple of months, and disaster management training has been provided to 33,000 volunteers.
Ajay Patel, Chairman of Gujarat Red Cross Society, stated that these services are designed for middle-class people. The initiative includes generic stores and aims to give first-aid training to as many people as possible.
