Over 3,600 2-wheelers and 1,100 cars sold in Ahmedabad on Rath Yatra 2024 day
July 08, 2024
Ahmedabad: On the occasion of the 147th Rath Yatra of Bhagwan Jagannath, held on Ashadi Beej on Sunday, around 3,600 two-wheelers and 1,100 cars were sold in the city. According to estimates from vehicle dealers, around 10,000 two-wheelers and more than 2,500 cars have been sold in the state.
However, some of the vehicles were sold without number plates, which is mandatory as per transport department rules. According to the new transport department rules, if a new vehicle is to be released on any auspicious occasion, including a festival, vehicle registration must be done in advance so that the dealer can deliver the vehicle on time with the number plate already fitted. However, it has been learned from vehicle dealers that some new vehicles were sold without number plates to last-minute customers. The new vehicles sold will now be placed in the preferred number list by filling out the CNA form, giving buyers 60 days to get their selected number.
More than 3,500 new two-wheelers, priced between 80,000 to 1.50 lakh, and over 1,100 new cars, priced below 50 lakh, were sold in Ahmedabad on Sunday. DeshGujarat
