65 lakh robbery in Ahmedabad; Angadia staffers attacked with chilli powder

Ahmedabad: Two employees of R Kantilal Angadia firm were robbed of 65 lakh rupees near Ellisbridge Gymkhana. The robbers attacked by throwing chilli powder in the employees’ eyes. The incident occurred around this afternoon when two armed men on an Activa confronted the employees transporting the cash from Jamalpur APMC to their office.
Local police and the crime branch rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation into the robbery. Ashok Patel, the firm’s owner, identified the victims as Babubhai Mafatbhai Prajapati and Manojbhai Babubhai Patel. They were attacked by two individuals on a bike armed with a knife and an air gun.
The assailants fled the scene after incapacitating the employees and leaving them injured. The investigation is ongoing to apprehend the attackers and recover the stolen amount. DeshGujarat
