Crime Branch arrests 2 accused of Rs 65 lakh loot at Law Garden

Ahmedabad: City crime branch on Tuesday arrested two men from Danilimda, in the case of the Rs 65 lakh heist near Law Garden on July 10. The accused who have been arrested are identified as Zafar Iqbal Rangrej and Mohmand Javed Rangrej.
The accused, on a scooter, had snatched a bag containing Rs 65 lakh from two employees, Babu Prajapati and Manoj Prajapati, of the R Kantilal angadia firm on CG Road. The incident occurred while the victims were in an autorickshaw near Rasala Nature Park in the Ellisbridge area. The robbers forced the rickshaw to stop, incapacitated the occupants by throwing chili powder in their faces, shot one of the angadia workers with an air pistol, and slashed both with a bladed weapon.
