Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has clarified that recent news and social media reports about replacing contract recruitment with permanent positions for class-3 and class-4 roles are false. The government’s current policy on contract recruitment remains unchanged.
Reports circulating in various news and social media platforms suggested that the government had decided to replace contract recruitment, including for class-3 and class-4 positions, with permanent recruitment and abolish the contract system. However, the Government of Gujarat clarifies that no such decision has been made, nor has any official notification been issued.
Ronak Mehta, Joint Secretary of the General Administration Department, confirmed there has been no official decision or notification regarding this matter.
