Bhutanese King and Prime Minister visit GIFT City in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobge, who were on a three-day visit to the state, today visited Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), which is developing as a global financial and IT service hub.

The delegation, including the King and Prime Minister of Bhutan, was first briefed in detail about the entire concept of GIFT City, its working style, and its features at GIFT House by Hasmukh Adhia, Chairman of GIFT City and Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister.

After the briefing, the Bhutanese King, the Prime Minister, and the delegation took a tour of the advanced infrastructure of GIFT City, visiting the district cooling system and utility tunnels. The delegates were impressed with the business-friendly services provided by the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India through the single-window system at GIFT City and the world-class infrastructure of GIFT City.
