Gujarat among top two recipients of funds in Khelo India Scheme

Gandhinagar: According to recent data, the Gujarat government has received ₹426.13 crore under the Khelo India Scheme since its inception. This amount makes Gujarat the second-highest recipient of funds, after Uttar Pradesh, which has received ₹438.27 crore.

Ongoing projects in Gujarat include the construction of a sports complex in Naranpura, Ahmedabad, with a sanctioned amount of Rs. 583.99 crore. Of this amount, Rs. 403.75 crore has been released, and the project is 73% complete.

Completed projects in Gujarat under the Khelo India Scheme include the construction of a synthetic athletic track in Naroda, a synthetic hockey turf in Devgadh Bariya, a multi-purpose hall at Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, and a swimming pool at the same university. DeshGujarat
