RSS refutes news report linking Surat drug case accused to Sangh

Surat: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today refuted the news report linking a Surat drug case accused to the organization.

On Sunday, Surat Police arrested three individuals for bringing drugs from Rajasthan and selling them under the guise of ice cream lorries. One of the accused was Vikas Ahir. A news portal, Siasat, run by Zahid Ali Khan & Amer Ali Khan, published a news story titled “RSS Activist and Gujarat Head of Hindu Vahini Arrested in Drug Racket,” written by Sayima Ahmad.

Refuting the news story, RSS Gujarat Prant Prachar Pramukh Vijay Thaker wrote on Twitter, “The news posted by the news portal http://siasat.com is completely contrary to the truth. No effort was made to verify the news before publishing it, and no facts were given. Vikas Ahir has no direct or indirect connection with RSS, has no responsibility in the Sangh, and has no connection with the Sangh’s branch.”

Vishwa Samvad Kendra, the media wing of RSS, also refuted the news copy. DeshGujarat
