ACB Gujarat nabs Medical Store owner in Ahmedabad for taking bribe on behalf of Food Inspector

Ahmedabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed owner of Deepak Medical Store in Ambawadi area of Ahmedabad for taking bribe money on behalf of Food Inspector Mahesh Bakshi from another medical shop owner.
According to ACB, the accused Manish Thakkar is a private person and owns Dipak Medical store near Hirabag railway crossing in Ambawadi area of Ahmedabad. A complainant in this case is another medical shop owner who approached ACB to complain that a food inspector named Mahesh Bakshi often comes to medical store in the name of inspection and seeks bribe while threatening actions.
On 22nd July this year, Bakshi came to complainant’s medical store and asked him to hand over Rs. 8,000 bribe money to Manish Thakkar who owns Dipak Medical store.
A complainant approached ACB and a trap was laid in which the complainant handed over Rs. 8,000 bribe money to Manish Thakkar on behalf of Dood Inspector Mahesh Bakshi. ACB has today detained Manish Thakkar.
According to ACB, Thakkar has confessed that he received Rs. 8,000 on behalf of and instruction of Food Inspector Mahesh Bakshi. DeshGujarat
