Junagadh: Five persons including NSUI leader Raju Solanki and his sons are booked under GujCTOC. Three of them are nabbed by Junagadh Police. GujCTOC is a stringent law against organized crime activities.

Raju had in the past contested the election of Junagad Municipal Corporation(JMC) from Nationalist Congress Party(NCP). Raju Solanki’s wife Gitaben had been 3-term JMC corporator. There have been multiple criminal cases against Raju Solanki in the past. Raju was booked for loot, attempt of murder, kidnapping, attack on police, arms act, illegal money lending and more.

His son Sanjay is facing three cases of crime. Raju Solanki’s other son Dev Solanki had two cases of crime against him. Sanjay earned limelight recently over a fight with Gondal BJP MLA’s son Ganesh Gondal. Ganesh is in custody since then.

Raju’s son Sanjay is Junagadh city NSUI president. NSUI is Congress party’s students’ wing. Raju Solanki is Congress party’s Schedule Caste cell president.

The other accused booked under GujCTOC in this case are Jayesh alias Javo Solanki who is already in police’s hold as he is in jail in IPC 307 case and Yogesh Bagda who is facing 3 cases.  Junagadh ‘A’ division police have nabbed all these accused.
