Gujarat ATS seizes liquid MD drug worth Rs. 800 crores from Bhiwandi; 2 held

Thane: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) today recovered narcotics worth around Rs. 800 crores during a raid in a flat in Bhiwandi city of Thane in Maharashtra. The ATS arrested two individuals involved in making MD drugs in the flat. A total of 792 kg of liquid MD drug worth Rs. 800 crores was seized from the location. The arrested individuals are identified as Mohammad Yunus and Mohammad Adil.
This raid was conducted in relation to the ongoing investigation into a mephedrone manufacturing unit in Kareli village on the outskirts of Palsana, Surat, which was busted and seized by the ATS last month.
Gujarat ATS had also raided Alliance Pharma Company in Dahej, Bharuch, on Wednesday, during which law enforcement seized raw materials worth Rs. 30 crores that were allegedly intended for the production of mephedrone drugs. DeshGujarat
