Narmada: On the morning of August 13th, the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada River, the largest dam in Gujarat, is 90.34% full.

At 8 AM today, the Sardar Sarovar Dam had an inflow of over 1.10 lakh cusecs and was at a level of 135.76 meters, compared to the full level of 138.68 meters. The outflow was 1.7 lakh cusecs into the river and 22,359 cusecs into the canal. The dam’s 9 gates are open by 2.1 meters.

With continuing rainfall in the state, 50 reservoirs are 100% full, while 40 are 70-100% full. Nineteen dams are 50-70% full, and 41 dams are 25-50% full. Among these, 62 reservoirs are on high alert, 17 dams are on alert, and 11 dams are under warning.

In another update, the water level at Ukai Dam is approaching the rule level. At 8 AM today, the level in Ukai was 102.08 meters, just below the rule level of 102.11 meters prescribed for the period before September 1st. Ukai is 76.89% full with an inflow of over 82,000 cusecs and an outflow of over 81,000 cusecs into the riverbed. Nine gates are open by 1.22 meters.
