Ahmedabad: The team from Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed the kitchen of Pride Plaza Hotel on Judges Bungalow Road in the Bodakdev area of the city. This action was taken after a customer complained that he was served a soup with live insects in it.

The incident occurred this afternoon during lunch after a business meeting when a customer found insects in the soup. When taken out of the soup, the insects were still alive. He raised his concern with the hotel staff and also made a video of the incident. Later, the AMC team arrived at the hotel, conducted an investigation, and sealed the kitchen.

This is yet another sealing in such cases; earlier, the kitchen of the five-star Hyatt Hotel in Vastrapur was also sealed and fined Rs. 2 lakh when an insect was found in its food. DeshGujarat
