Gujarat completes nearly 100% of average monsoon rainfall

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has completed nearly 100% of its average monsoon rainfall, based on the average of the past 10 years. As of 8 AM on Tuesday, the state has witnessed a total average rainfall of 879.96 mm, which is nearly 99.66% of the average rainfall for the monsoon period.

Kutch leads in terms of average monsoon rainfall with 116.79%, followed by South Gujarat at 108.20% and Saurashtra at 101.52%. All these regions have reached their region-wise average monsoon rainfall. Meanwhile, the East Central and North Gujarat regions have recorded 98.74% and 79.99% of their seasonal averages, respectively.
